NTL & Moving house

Moving to our new house soon.
I've NTL with their 3mb BB here in my apartment.
What I want to know is can I bring my "connection" with me? or will I have to cancel my current subscription and pay for a new installation?

AFAIK the previous owners of the house had sky, not ntl.
Also can I take the current ntlbox (the small one) with me and use it for another room in the new house?

And the last question, would you recommend getting the PVR they are offering?

    cheers

They'll want the box back if they give you another one, and you're supposed to pay extra on your subscription (€8.50 a month) for extra rooms.

I've had the DVR a couple of weeks - it's a bit finicky right now but hopefully they'll fix things along the line. Still miles better than any standalone DVD/HDD recorder, as you have two digital tuners, no analogue loss, etc. Definately worth the extra fiver a month.

Cool thanks, I'll see what I can do with holding onto the box ;)
I never knew you had to pay for extra rooms?
I'm connected in all the rooms in my apartment, I have to move the small box if I want the digital channels but I have the normal channels if I just connect the cable to the TV.

DVR it is so. I've a DVD recorder at the minute, its a pain as I can only record one channel and can't change it, and the quality even at the highest setting isn't great as I've to connect it by scart :(

I meant to have digital STBs in extra rooms you have to pay extra for each box. There's no way they could enforce extra fees for extra analogue points.

I was just about to post a new thread and noticed this one.

I have basic NTL at the moment and also SKY. I am selling my house and am going to be renting for about 18 months. I looked on the NTL site and I noticed that they have an all in package of digital tv with a dvr, phone and broadband for 59 euro a month if you are an existing customer but 85 euro a month if you are a new customer.. Would the fact that I have an NTL account for basic channels mean I would get the cheaper deal when I move house??
