Paying Luas Fines

Got caught without a ticket on the Luas the other day for the first time. Not going to try escape the fine. But the methods of payment are limited. Either you pay by cheque, or you pay by credit card.

I have neither. I know people who do, but I'm concerned that the credit card or cheque will have to be in the name I've given. Is there any way I can simply pay in cash.

The 14 days are ticking down.

Toddle down to a bank and get a draft made out to them if you prefer it not to be drawn against a friend.

I'm so young. But I presume a banker's draft entails me giving money to the bank, in return for which the bank will write a cheque to the Luas company.

If so, I understand and am very appreciative. Thank you.
