Full Licence. I've read in some areas, Limerick & Cork, they started having them ready after you passed the test.

    From citizensinformation.ie
If your full driving licence expired 10 years ago, then you must complete a Driver Theory Test. Following completion of your Driver Theory Test, you can only then apply for a provisional licence and you will have to re-sit your driving test again.

Does this mean once you have passed, you have to do a test every 10 years, or is it only if you have let your licence expire rather than get it renewed?

Just quick one to you. From Citizen Information website:

A medical report. Download a medical report form (D.501) (pdf) or you can request form D.501 by post through CitizensInformation.ie. You will need a completed medical report form if you are applying for a driving licence for categories C1, C, D1, D, EC1, EC, ED1 or ED.

Doest it mean that everyone need to bring a medical report or only those who apply for mentioned categories?

Thanks Ash :-) One more to you, I moved into new appartment today (I passed my test yesterday) so I'd have to put in my current address on the application which is different than address on my Provisional Driving Licence and Competency Cert. I've got all the bills for new and old addresses so if I'm gonna bring them in with me to Motor Tax Office will it be okay?

I told about that to my tester yesterday and he said that's fine, because it's normal that people change addresses in the period of time between passing test and applying for a licence. So according to him address on the Competency Cert. and Provisional Licence can be different than address on the application. They're gonna update it anyway.

What do you think about that?

its fine - the address on my license was different to the one on the competency cert and different to the address I was putting down on the forum [moved from parents house to dublin then to kilkenny hence 3 addresses :D] and had no issues getting full license, wasn't asked for any proof of new address. [popped into MTO after test and had it within 15 mins]

    That's great :-) Thanks ztoical!

15 mins??! Why they don't do it within 15 mins in every Motor Tax Office? It's not fair! ;)
