Wii noises and the laser.

Anyone else hearing weird noise from the Wii, like the laser moving. Whenever I hear this noise, the game is sometimes very slow or freezes or I get an error message. It seemed to start doing this when I got Mario Kart. I Googles this problem and SSBB seems to be doing this and Mario Galaxy. I can't return it either…
