    I have been thinking about trying it as a new hobby, can anyone shed some light on the legality of it?

    or hopefully offer any advice?

    very very illegal and dangerous, stick to beer

    more that happy give advice about home brewing if your interested

    Have to totally agree with oblivious - stick to beer or wine - apart from the dangers - I'm sure the customs lads would be interested in your setup :)
