I am trying to decide which twist rate would be better 1 in 8 or 1 in 12 for
    a .223

if you want to use standard ammo say 40 ,50 grain then 1;12
however if you wish to have a more versatile rifle capable of using
everything from 40 grain v max through to 80 grain v max then you must choose the fast 1;8 twist, this becomes much more important as we hope to have the ability to reload soon and you will be able to work up long range target loads.;)
