Are there any? the websites mention medical requirements but dont go into any detail, any one aware if there are any or what they are?

There are a couple of different grades for eyesight.If you take a look around herehttp://www.mfat.co.uk/forums/,do a search for "eyesight" and it should give you everything you need to know.
