    Hi all,

Looking to get a highish quality photo printer for around 150E - able to go a little higher so don't feel too restricted in replies :)

    Was thinking of this printer

I am just after buying a wireless HP Photosmart C4380. So far I find find it fantastic. It was €119 in PC world. I print A4 pages on it the whole time.

    Thanks for feedback,

Does it print right out to the very edge of the page?

It does but you need to set it up in the page setup of whatever software you use.

I have put around 400 prints through this particular Epson R360 and it still goes great.

Thanks Borderfox am looking into the 360 :)

kensutz, have you experienced any cons with the 4500? Or any nice pros you've noticed?

No faults with it, happy enough with it but I've only printed about 10 full size A4 prints with it and the people who got the prints were impressed.

Deaddude, I'd suggest checking out the price of replacement inks as well as this will ultimately determine the cost of printing.

Borderfox - Would you be able to give an idea of how often you change inks? some/all? I know it'll be different depending on the photos, but do you see any patterns?

yeah id say the 360 also
ive been using one for a while now and have never had a problem

as far as i know the ink is pretty cheap for the hole set
cant remember what i paid the last time but it wasn't bank breaking

I would say the one that gives the best quality is the Canon pixma MP 610.

I use more of the yellow/light cyan/light magenta most, but this depends on the show I am doing. If it is a grass show then kiss goodbye to the yellow mostly. I worked out my usage over time and it works out using photo quality Epson glossy paper and original ink an A4 costs me around €2.10 to produce.

Recommended by Which website: Canon MP810

I would be interested in knowing what you decide & where you get it.

If you choose to print with a small white border around your prints it stops the printer from spraying ink off the edge and lenghtens the life of your printer whichever one you use.

Going to get this one too today from Peats now.
€120, it's €130 in the other Camera shops.

Elara.ie have the IP4500 for about €90, have to wait a couple of days before you can pick it up. I bought one a few weeks ago, very happy with it.

Is that like the place on Jervis street where you order something and you wait so many days for it to come into stock and then you pick it up?
I live 2 mins from Peats and my GF is giving me €50 towards it, she may have changed her mind in a few days!
I did order the Canon 1.4 extender online though from my Scots uncle ;)

Footnote, Peats threw in the USB cable in free, nice little touch.
