Aligning Comag sl55

I inherited a satellite dish (80cm) and tuner recently. It is a Comag Sl55 tuner. It is a single lnb non motorized system.
I think Astra2 and Eurobird are the satellites I should be using. I am picking up Astra1 and Astra2 at 90-100% signal strength
but Eurobird is at 0%. This does not make sense to me as there is a 9 degree difference between astra1 and astra2. Is it
possible to be aligned in between 19 and 28 degrees, say 24 degrees and still have 100% signal strength on both
    astra1 and 2?
I used the astra2 signal to align the dish.

Also, I am not getting the bbc/itv/c4 channels. I am getting a lot of german channels. I have BBC World, Eurosport (German),
Euronews, CNN Int. When I look at the channel lists at http://lyngsat.com/ it seems I am getting mostly astra1 channels,
but I am getting some astra2 channels also.

You dish is only pointed directly at Astra1.
You are not receiving any channels from Astra2 despite what you may think.
This is the old nutshell of "strong signal but no picture from Sky" because of channels with same frequencies on both satellites.
Covered in much detail in previous threads.
Re-orient your dish for Astra2 if you want BBC/ITV etc - see stickies above.

Indeed the OP is rightly sceptical, you can't pick up two satellites more than about 0.5 degree apart on a small dish. On a large dish you can't pick up astra2D and Eurobird 1 at same time (0.3 degree spacing).

You need to move the dish east about 9 degrees and slightly lower.

When signal peaked, twist the LNB slightly clockwise/anticlock wires to peak the quality bar. If LNB cable is vertical the quality can't really get above 45% to 55%. If this skew is correct you can maybe 95% quality after the signal was peaked by dish position.

you can pick up Astra 1 + 2 + hotbird on this dish , but you will spend a lot of time getting everything aligned and you will need a bracket ( I used a piece of mechano ) to hold the 3 lnb's out on the arm . http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055227612&highlight=astra+1+astra2 and there are many other threads .
If you go to the botrher , it might be wise to get a stronger dish that has a bracket
