Vista - Installing Game

Any reason why game discs wont install on vista? Tried it with sims 2, it gives the option for autoplay, but nothing happens. Tried running as admin through the disc, and copying contents to renamed folders, it allows you to click on the autorun icon, but nothing happens?

    Bad cd drive?

    Any tips appreciated!

Right click the drive, click explore and then double click setup.exe

as an aside I just firmly dislike EA as a publisher.

As Pog says. failing that - try a different game. I cant say I've ever had this problem in my vista setup.

for some older apps I've created a shortcut on the desktop pointing at setup.exe on the CD , then change the permissions of the shortcut to run as administrator and then try again
