PS3 - Best Deal?

I am going to buy a PS3 next week and i was wondering does anybody know where i can get the best deal? Cheers.

I'm not sure who are doing the best deals right now. But it might be worth waiting until GTAIV is out, on the 29th.

There is going to be an official PS3 bundle.

It's likely deals will be refreshed then. Many retail deals out there now are probably better value than this bundle, but there might be even better deals once it's out.

yeah if you want GTAIV maybe wait for that bundle then try/ring around the usual suspects like hmv, virgin, smyths, xtra vision and see who has the best deal at that time. you might even get a better bundle without gtaiv like maybe a few more games which might be better value depending on what you want.

i think smyths are advertising console + gta = €419, is that good?

i'll also be buying pro evo and another controller

i've bought all my consoles since the ps2 in gamestop, i usually find they're the best

I saw yesterday HMV had the PS3 with GT5 prologue and two BluRay movies (no choice though) for 399 euros. (Game had a similar bundle but it was 449! :eek: )

€419 seems about right. If you convert the GBP it's €400 and they always feel a need to tac on €20/30 in Ireland for a laugh.

I'm avoiding GAME, but looking for some good back-ups should Gamestop be out of stock.

Yea most shops are taking deposits now on the GTA4 bundles... ofcourse there sayin limited stock... which is usually bs!

Gamestop PS3 + Drakes + Ratchet + Motorstorm & Resistance (both pre owned) for €479(im pretty sure its 479)... id trade in moto and resistance for a new game with there offer...

€479 is too much imo. They know people want GTAIV so they'll toss in games they can't get rid of into the bundle just to jack up the price. At least GAME are pretty notorious for doing that. We'll see what road Gamestop go down.

best offer i could find in cork today was in smyths, 40gig console, grand turismo prologue and pro evo 2008 for 440

That's what I'm hoping for: €400 for the GTAIV bundle. Somehow I doubt it though.

If you're interested in Blu-Ray movies there is a pack in Xtravision with PS3, extra controller, official PS3 Blu-Ray remote, a game (Drakes Fortune I think), Spider-Man 3 Blu-Ray movie, and 3 game rentals for €479. Its not bad considering in SOny Centre the PS3 is €399 on its own, the remote is €25, the controller is €45 I think, and the rest.

Zavvi in Athlone Town Centre have the PS3 with extra controller, Gran Tourismo, a game of your choice and a bluray dvd for €445. They have other deals too but I needed a second controller and that was going to set me back 50 yoyos anyway so it worked out best for me.

484.99 40GB + Ratchet & Clank + Drakes Fortune + Game from list... i picket Rainbow Six vegas 2... great thing is i can trade any of the two games in above for any ps3 game... so complete ratchet and drakes and get gta4... perfect!

Sorry its €269 not €279.. you get 2 controllers, Blu-Ray remote, Drakes Fortune, Spider-Man 3, and 3 game rentals.
