I was on the internet yesterday and came across an American thing for moving your wheelie bin down to the collection point if you live far from a road. It goes on the back of your car and you can carry your wheelie bin to wherever the council collects, if you live in the country.
I can't find anything like it in Ireland. I have aunts who would love that.
Anybody come across such a product ?
    The American website is http://www.garbagegorilla.com/

Had the same problem myself, friend told me about a guy he knows in Leitrim, he set up his own company, Bin Movers, gave them a call and they sent it out to me within a day or two. You just pop it onto your tow bar, clip the bin on and off you go, very handy, I just through it in the boot when i'm done. Has definatily saved an argument or two with my wife!!!! The number I rang was; 087 8044707, good luck, hope you can get one, has certainly made my life a bit easier.

The Fairy THief can you give a bit more info please! How much does it cost and what prevents the bin from falling over? My road is very bumpy, would it work for me? Had two bins stolen in the past and had to pay for replacement as too far from house.

Hairymolly Its very easy to use the bin is fully supported by the binmover device and can not fall over. You just clip it on your tow bar and then clip your bin on 15sec.does it all, its a very simple device cant believe i spent 10 years dragging a bin out our lane. it cost me about €110 plus post charges. GOOD LUCK.

Yeah I got one of these at the weekend.
It's functional, not the prettiest thing in the world but very easy to use. It cost me Euro 120, but that included this thing they put on the tow bar to make sure it doesn't fall off or move from side to side.
    They're called Bin Mover. Handy.
