Here are some photos of classic dinkys I took recently at the Retromobile in France, I never realised there was so much interest in them in France.

Believe me , dinkys are much easier to maintain than classics. I have both and enjoy the dinkys almost as much. I now limit myself to one classic, friends have several , they don't get time to drive them. These cars all are better when driven regularily. If you haven#t the time or indeed the garage space for classics, stick to the dinkys.

I have an interest in cars but I prefer my dinkies too. The French Dinky is more superior than the British Dinky and is more expensive. You can buy reproduction french dinky toys under the name Dantoys but the range is limited. I read where Norev will be re-introducing the Spot-on name this year.
It will consist of some reproduction Spot-on models but this time made in China as opposed to Belfast.

I wonder if anyone or any company has made a real car exactly as the real car, ie wiring, electric windows, even a working engine with ignition, etc, basically a real car from scratch but in a smaller scale?

    This guy has.
This thing actually runs. The old top gear did a feature on him a few years ago. He reckons if you could get a small enough driver, it would perform just like the real thing.

I remember seeing that too, the sound of the engine was incredible. Norev are bringing back the old Spot-on models alright G Luxel and I saw the Dantoys models in Paris and they are very good quality.
