It would be on thing to show that a Priuis is no match for a average small compact car like a Kia Seat or similar

but the argument is all so badly slanted
The battery uses small amounts of nickel as the battery is NIMh (nickel methyl hydride) with nickel equaling less than 30% of the battery
It recycles well easily with no more issues than recycling iron
The price premium for the Pruis is too much for most joe soaps doing 10,000 mile s in a year

however a large distance user going in and around cities with some high way work doing 20,000 miles a year would save alot with a Pruis

The Pruis will also do easily 150,000 miles as the battery alone is guaranteed to do 150,000 miles
But no matter what way you run the numbers the Hummer would always use more oil to make more oil to run and more oil overall and the article uses fake mathematics to prove 2+2=5
