It is a beta not a demo, and the perfect example of why betas should be closed and not public. Its gonna have errors, the more errors it has the more it should have been closed.

When they do a public beta it should be to the highest quality with minimal errors, the general public just dont really understand betas and wont give it a chance.

I am a beta tester though, so maybe im being too harsh.

I know its the patch giving problems, but the patch downloading system is part of the game, its not part of the store. That said, its a bug with the game that its not working right.

If it was a bug downloading the beta from the store, then my comment would be irrelevant as then, the problem would be with the store and it wouldnt matter if it was a beta or not.

You have tested, then you know these things happen and then get fixed for the full version, and have no real bearing on the finished game. My comment wasnt specifically aimed at you, more at the general public.

I only say it should be closed, because the general public at large doesnt know whats involved in a beta, and should only be given access to demo quality stuff that works.

I say that with 4+ years playstation beta testing under my belt though.

add me and we will have some games on it when its up and running, im "fenian".

Yeah you wont be able to play till then, so no real rush, I got to 6% before i had to stop babysitting it. Restarting the game to reconnect is a bit of a bore lol

had the same problem initially, the upnp was pinholing my router automatically (I can see from the upnp logs on the router the port was opened) but I kept getting network errors.

so I changed the port to a nice high unused port and manually opened it on the router for the ps3 and it's downloading fine now.

well, when I say fine, I mean dog slow, but it's coming. at 33% now, but it's uploading faster than it's downloading. I'd put that down to connecting to geographically closer peers tho which means predominently irish users with limited upload bandwidth.

I know that, sorry, it was just a Firefly/Serenity joke from the episode "The Train Job"
