Restore backup from Superduper.

I need to restore to a G4 iMac from a bootable backup made by Superduper on an external USB drive but of course the G4 won't boot from a USB drive!

If I copy the entire partition with the backup on it to an external firewire drive will that copy then be bootable?

If so, how do I then restore to the G4 iMac?

    Thanks in advance.

Making a copy with Superduper or CCC to your Firewire drive may work, but is there any reason why you couldn't take the HD out of the USB box and put it in the Firewire box and try starting up (hold the 'option' key while starting up and choosing the external drive). You could then make your Superduper clone to the iMac. If you get to the point where you've supposedly cloned back to the iMac, it still may not want to startup from it for some reason. In that case you could do an 'archive and install' from a Tiger or Leopard disk, which would give you a fresh system but preserve your original HD copy.
