Hi, Has anyone here done the comptia a+ course? I'm thinking of doing it but just wondering is it respected qualification and what are the job prospects like with it

    Hi Whiterob

The A+ is a well respected course. If you have a reasonable understanding of PC's it is a good course to go on. Although it might not be enough on its own to get you a position in I.T, it is a good starting block to move forward. When you have done it, you might consider other Comptia courses such as Network + Good Luck!

thanks Goldigga, I've done a diploma course in computing in Athlone IT but it's a few years ago now. I was looking at this as a good way of updating my skills and finally getting a career in IT

I completed A+ via FAS in Finglas in February and am now doing the Netowrk+ and Server 70-290, both full time with FAS.

Well worth doing if you are hoping to go down that route

It is a very good course, well respected as metioned and is a great stepping stone for other Comptia courses like Network+, Security+, etc. Good luck. Well worth the time.
