Anybody hate clowns? My sisters and myself hate them but there is no particular reason why as far as I know. It's really common apparently. http://www.ihateclowns.com/

Maybe it was that film "it".

Pennywise used to scare the pants off me when I was a kid.

Also, that clown in the movie Poltergeist gave me a few nightmares.

I'm not afraid of them at all - I just don't see the point in them. They're not funny. Does anyone think they are?

I do remember when I was about 5 getting up scared in the middle of the night. I told my mum my wallpaper scared me. It was white with loads of pink clowns on it. You know those pierrot (sp?) ones that are crying? My parents changed it pretty quick after that to white with pink ragdolls. Much better. I was only talking to my mum about it the other day and she said what was I thinking putting crying clowns wallpaper up in your room?!

Surprisingly, it hasn't adversely afected me! :)

EDIT: Raekwon, I've just added a warning in the thread title. Some people have real, strong fears so be careful about posting pics. Just posts links and give warnings next time. Ta.

I never knew a lot of people shared my fear until I started using teh interwebz. A lot of peoples fear seems to have stemmed from It.
Mine stretches back to before I ever saw it on telly. I used to be terrified at the circus. They sure are a creepy bunch....

I can't stand plaid trousers either because they remind me of clowns. Also they are kinda ugly, style-wise.

Also John Wanye Gacy didn't exactly give clowns a good reputation. He used to throw parties and dress up as 'Pogo the Clown' to entertain children until police found the bodies of 33 young boys under his house. He was dubbed 'The Killer Clown' by the media & is in the Guinness Book of World Records for the longest sentence imposed on a mass murderer (he was given 21 consecutive life sentences and 12 death sentences).
