    Am i right in saying (After looking through a few threads here) that if i brought a small van from the UK into Ireland its only €50 VRT?

    As long as it's a van and not a converted car, VRT is €50. There are certain restrictions as to what is classified as Category C (full commercial) and Category B (converted). For some reason the Astravan is category B and subject to 13.3% VRT, as are most Crewcab 4x4's - but the New Nissan Navarra is Category C.
