McDonalds have a whole frickin advertising campaign dedicated to what you can get for a euro. And I find myself amazed when I take a quick jaunt around a Euro Shop/EuroSaver to see what I can get for 100c. Amazed!

The amount of time it takes to walk up from that shop from school is pretty much most of lunch time. You'd be late for class. :pac:

24 packs of Jaffa Cakes cost around 70c in Tesco. That could keep you for the most of the day. =D

Everyone knows decent civilisation ended the day cans went from 45p to 50p and Dairy Milks went from 28p to 30p

    I know, it's appalling.
My Grandad always said to me: "You should never go out on a Sunday without a pound in your pocket". i.e. you could need it for something... food etc.

That was a few years ago. Change pound to euro... e1.27... not gonna get much.

i was in a centra just there, a 2lt bottle of coke was 1euro50.

    a can was 80cent.

    are cans nicer or what?

It goes: glass bottle --> can --> 500ml bottle -->2L bottle in terms of niceness

When I worked as a loungeboy, you could buy 5 (yes, five) pints of guinness for a punt (OK, I know it's more than a euro) and still give the poor loungeboy (me) a 5p tip.
