    Hey

Can someone answer a few questions for me about the Journalism degree in DIT please? What are the hours like? How frequent are you required to do presentations and assignments? Would the majority of presentations be group or individual ones?

    Cheers!

Hours are prrrretty handy.. 18 on average, which compared to 35 for engineering is pretty tasty, but you will have to do a lot of outside research etc.
You generally have to do an assignment for each module each semester, so you're looking at maybe 6 per sememster depending on your language choice etc.
Presentations... depends again on your language, but there's not too many generally. Presentations tend to be individual.

There are loads of journalism threads on this board, just do an aul search.

I'm finding it a pretty good course.

Assignments aren't too tough in first year (c.2000 words each) and you get plenty of time to research them.

I love the course. Really sweet hours like Frankiestylee said and generally Fridays off for one semester a year. Assignments can be tough work though and you run the risk of getting totally bogged down with them but I guess that's just college. Its just a matter of trying to handle everything. That said, it is pretty continuous so be prepared to work. Hope I didnt scare you with that but the course is fantastic and really worth doing!
