DS Browser problem

    Hi,
I got the browser for the DS but I'm having trouble logging on to networks that require a network key. For some networks I get an error message saying that I can't connect to the network, before I even get a chance to enter the key.

The Nintendo wifi website says that for routers that require you to log on via the browser to enter the key, the DS cannot connect to these. But via my laptop I just connect to the network in the normal way, ie through the wireless network icon in the task bar.

    Any help appreciated

Is the access point WEP encrypted or compatible?

Not sure tbh...how would I find out?

You could probably find our by looking at the connection details on one of the computers, failing that you'd have to log into the router and see what its set to.

Looks like it is "TKIP" encrypted?, with WPA-PSK authentication

I doubt the DS is compatible with WPA-PSK, try either disabling the wireless security on your router or setting it to WEP, but don't leave it disabled if you test it like that.

The DS needs to be connected to a WEP encrypted network or an open network, Nintendo's two-finger gesture to the wireless security world. The stronger WPA won't work.
