hi there guys hope you can help

I have a jailbroken iphone running 1.1.3, the problem is when i connect to an adhoc wifi network and sometime to a wireless router the connection lasts about 10 secs and then reverts to looking for edge connection. After a bit of research it seems this problem might be associated with the 1.1.3 firmware, has anybody else experienced this.

I am thinking of upgrading or down grading the firmware but want to know if anyone has had similar problems with 1.1.4 or 1.0.3 etc.

    all help greatly appreciated

Have had both 1.1.3 and 1.1.4 and never experienced an issue with either. The only time it has switched to looking for Edge is when the wifi signal is low and drops out.

    try resetting all network settings

Have you tried to connect without using DHCP

do you have security on the connection try it without it

Failing all that try sticking it in the fridge for 20 minutes to cool down see if Wifi works after that

If the phone was originally 1.1.2 or 1.1.3 then best way forward is to use bootnueter to get back to 4.6 then restore to 1.1.4 then use iliberty+ or if you have a mac use pwnage but probably won't fix wifi issue
