Caller ID with Eircom Cordless phone

    Hey,

    I have my home telephone with blueface via a netgear ATA. About 3 days ago I had to get a new DECT phone because the old one had seen better days. Anyway, I bought an eircom 7000 cordless phone, hooked it up and everything worked great except the caller ID. It used to work perfectly with my old DECT phone but will not work with this phone?!? I have tried ringing my blueface phone from loads of numbers which I know aren't blocked but the number will not show up on the phone, it just displays 'UNKNOWN'

    Any ideas on how I can fix this?

    What does the manual say? Failing that take it back to the seller and if it's a fault issue they should swap it for you. Be sure to bring the receipt with you.

    Manual says it works if the service is subscribed to. It always worked with other phones. I tried it on a normal phone line and it worked perectly..... Strange.

    Have you tried it on a friends line? What happens? Failing all of this bring it back to the shop for a replacement.
