    Desperately need help, as per the FAQ, i am able to connect to the network but cant get on the net.

    5) I can connect to wireless network but can't connect to the Internet

    Follow these steps to try and pin point the problem:
    a) Open a command prompt. Start->run->cmd.
    b) In the command prompt type ipconfig /all. If your ip address under your wireless card is 169.254.xx.xxx or 0.0.0.0 then the problem is that you are not being assigned an ip address by your router.
    I have done the above an I see the 169.254.xxxx ip address. I also tried the pings as per the FAQ advice and they are not timing out. I also scoured the rest of the threads but cant seem to find the answer. Any ideas? Thanks!

    For those people too lazy to alternate between the faqs and your post and who might wish to help you could you please give details of your equipment etc etc.
    Take a deep breath and start from the beginning............
