No, not at all.

It's pretty much an overpriced expansion to Diamond and Pearl on the DS. It does allow for basic online play but overall it really doesn't fair well as its own game especially if you don't have D/P. Wouldn't bother if I were you unless you can find it for a really good price.

Doubt you'll be seeing a real Pokémon game on Wii anytime soon unfortunately.
