New Job & College

I've an interview coming up for a full-time position in a Law-Firm but i've applied to attend college in September to complete a degree i've postponed as the career i want to persue would award increments for a degree and i'll have one in 1year due to the credentials i have to date...

The money is great and the bonuses above what i thought, but my problem lies with a possible question in the interview i.e. Why would we take you on if you intend on leaving for college in September (considering they are looking for a full-time candidate). The money would be great to save for college while i apply in October for a possible career in An G.S. which, if successful i won't get in until the following May, after my finals.

I don't want to turn down the opportunity of working in a Law Firm when i consider what i'll gain experience-wise, personally and even socially.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

A bit unethical, but you could simply not tell them about September?

I did think of that one but unsure about taking that route...

I could say closer the date that i've been offered the place i'm going for but this company provides assistance to students who wish to pursue legal studies in college and who would be intersted in staying on with them while expanding their legal experience but my course is accountancy based and if i tell them in August or even July about college they'll know that i wouldn't have just applied for it and wonder why i didn't mention it during the interview ...

Most companies would work you to death if they could, so don't start feeling too guilty :)

You only have one life. Do what's best for you. The company will survive if you leave them in September...

:) and i'm of the belief that omitting information as opposed to completely denying something wouldn't be quite the same ;) so might take your initial advice
