Hi guys, i went into Bellissimo in Limerick last week and boy what a disaster!

First i was left sitting there for 30 mins, then the guy i asked for didn't seem to have a clue what to do with my hair. He was working on 3 different people at the same time!

Anyway i got a hair treatment and a girl put me under a hot light and the ends of my hair got burnt. Then the guy came over did a 5 minute job and sent me on my way! In total i was 2 hours in there.

I was very annoyed because i thought this guy was meant to be **** hot at his job. I won't be going there again ever.

I was so upset, I didn't ring to complain because i wouldn't know what to say.

What would you guys do in this situation?

What did you actually get done? The time frame for a full head of highlights is generally 2 hours for the highlights and 30 minutes for the cut and blowdry, while it's an hour an a half for a half head of highlights with 30 minutes for the cut and blowdry.

Did you tell him what you wanted done with your hair, or did you just leave him to guess?

What kind of "hair treatment" was it? Did you expect it to be quicker than 2 hours?

At this stage, I'd say it's too late to do anything other than not go there again. The time to complain was at the end of the appointment, I'd imagine you've missed your oppertunity, unfortunately.

Ya your right there. I didn't get any colour, i went in for a wash cut and blow dry. I wanted it layered all over and thinned out. I got a hot oil treatment that took 5 to 10 mins.

I'll stick to the Ivory hair salon anyway. I just to bellissimo because my mam lives close by.

I have always gone to bellissimo too but i have to say that they can be sluggish at times at their work...... i always request a particular hairdresser....always end up with the wrong one due to staffing issues....those hairdressers in there are extremely overworked and it is not uncommon for them to be doing a thousand jobs at once..... i expect to get my hair blowdryed and cut by the same colourist.... it never happens. i always tip......it is at my own discretion but i do feel obliged...when three or four people could be working on your hair who do you tip like????? another huge problem is they offer you a cup of tea or whatever and then you are charged for it....bit ridiculous!!!! i have heard of horror hair stories in there at one time....but if you know the hairdresser you want dont opt for anyone else and people's reccommendations will go a long way..... as for the woman with the burned hair...you have every right to complain....it was a service that was not up to standard and never feel the need to keep hush... i did it once at a different hairdressers who burned my scalp and i regret it big time... i was blistered for weeks. bellissimo needs a little bit more help to restore what was once a chic salon....the introduction of the training school on the lower floor is a nuisance and takes away from the ambience.

Never rated Bellisimo. Got a facial there about two yeasr ago.The therapist went out during it for a sneaky ciggie and her hands stunk of smoke when she came back.Really ruined the relaxing atmosphere

here here.....it ruins the experience even when you're getting your hair done.....they shouldn't be allowed to wear their uniforms while outside the doors...if it was a nurse in a hospital you'd go ape with that sort of thing too!!!!

I'd go back to them and say you were not happy with the service, demand some sort of compensation, either discount on next service or 50% of your money back. Do you still have the receipt ? ..Money is tight at the moment, they should appreciate that people's cash doesn't just grow on magic trees...

Im glad to see someone else has complained about the above. I got my hair done yesterday too get a full head of lights and a trim took 3 hours. I was charged €170 I am livid!!!! The girl who was doing my hair was doing 3 other peoples hair, I think if they cant spend the time with you they should not take the booking. Your charged top stylist rates which they dont make clear when you phone they just take the booking and thats it, learners end up doing your hair, and the "stylist" just gives it a trim and she put in a few lights a learner did everything else. Im shocked at how they can charge so much. My lights are not even visible!! Im going back on Thursday to have them done again and I rang to say i thought i was over charged and she said no its 60 for a cut and 110 for high lights. again another service in ireland we are been totally ripped off for

I pay 155 euro for a full head of lights and a cut in another salon in Limerick and am always happy. I ask for a particular hairdresser every time, and she deals with me from the colour, washing it out, cut and blow dry. And I don't get charged for the coffee I drink.
I tried bellissimo a few years back - both the hairdresser and beauty salon. In the hairdresser, I was left sitting for 30 minutes after getting my hair washed.
In the beauty salon, I got a spray tan - was put into a tiny room with no ventilation at all to let it dry and nearly fainted. Also got a pedicure and manicure - the towels they were using didn't look the cleanest, and also had holes in them.
I have never gone back - I think the place is well over hyped.

Thats cause they make too much money from their hairdressing school which you have to pay huge fees for, they then work the hole off the trainees and have a few decent stylists to watch over everything. And with the recession way overpriced

I certainly hope that they are going to redo your hair for free because if not then don't bother going back there. The last time I went in I was charged €160 and didn't even get hair cut. they put a €20 treatment in my hair without even asking me. needless to say i was like a dog and wont be going back again. get the name of the colour that they're using and tell that colour to a new hairdresser. they seriously don't deserve the business.

This is over a year ago now but sounds like nothing has changed. My friend was in there for a day of pampering before her wedding day and all she could say when she came out was that the place was manky dirty!!!

So sounds like nothing has changed-surprise surprise.
