    Hello,

I currently have space for two cars, half concrete, half gravel. I want to cover the gravel in concrete, and extend the parking space about 15%. Don't want to widen driveway (yet, as don't have PP). Do I need planning for the other work?

Unless it specifically states on your planning permission that you need to retain a certain area of "green" space then you wont need permission to provide additional parking.

would you not remove the concerte and extend the gravel area

the cumulative affect of extensions ( exempt and permitted ) and extending driveways is overstressing public authority drainage sytems

we ( collectively ) need to reduce that strain

you might consider a rain water recycling tank ? you would reduce starin on the public drain , beat future hose pipe bans . in the future you could add a pump to serve for wc flushing and reduce your water consumption
