Engineering Graduate Placement in China

Anyone have any experience of FAS Overseas Graduate Programme to China.

2 year placement required which seems a bit daunting. Money is €1000 a month, it wouldn't go far here, but maybe it'd be worth a good bit more in China. Long term though I would presume it'd be pretty beneficial.

I'm just finishing a masters in engineering this year, but have previously worked for almost 2 yrs after my primary civil degree, so I'm pushing on too!!

I'd put it at the back of my mind over the last few months, but rang them today, and my CV and application needs to be in by tomorrow if I want to be considered.

    Any worldly advice appreciated!

Why are FAS sending Irish engineers over there? There is a big shortage of Irish engineers in Ireland. Companies are crying out for them. My current boss had to pay me ( or at least he offered) alot of money for me to leave the old job.

In saying that I applied for a job on a tunneling project in China through college about 4 years ago. I wanst what they were looking for but **** it I'd give it ago but not for E1000 a month
