    Just bought Samsung 40" Lcd. When buying it i managed to get a free stand because i bargained with DID saying Harvey Normans were offering the same TV with stand for €1000. In total i saved €200, (tv was €999, stand was €199.95). Has anybody else had good savings?

    I reckon I saved about €100 or so by buying online, ie. I couldn't get an exact TV model match.
    Although I did a Camcorder test with exact models and the difference between shop prices & online was €179 !!!!

    €1370 for 40V3000 Sony LCD with 3 year warranty
    €67 for glass stand
    feee HDMI cables
    €380 for 250GB Sony 970 dvd recorder (with feee cable)

    Bargain when I got tv in January, but now I dont think the saving is as good.

    Total saving at least 400€
