Bose Lifestyle V30

    Hi all,

I have a Lifestyle V30 system. While it sounds great etc I can't get the full potential out of my Blu-Ray's as the V30 will only handle DD and DTS.

Just updated my PS3 today so it now supports DTS-HD. I find it frustrating not being able to make use of all these HD audio formats.

Is there any way of Bose being able to release a software update to allow support for the HD audio formats?

....I know I'm leaving myself wide open for Bose bashing but can we keep it to a minimum :D

A software/firmware mod is probably not going to do it.

Square plug and round hole is what you have, if onboard decoding is what you want.

However, (and bear in mind I have no idea what sort of inputs the bose thing has), you might get away with a HD player doing the decoding and outputting the seperate channels into a 7.1 (or 5.1) input on the amp.
