My sisters phone just exploded. It was really loud and smells awful.

The sim card is toast so she lost all of her friends numbers. Her bag just got a hole blown in it. Her ear is still ringing.

This just happened. Anyone opinions on what we should do?

Can she get a replacement from the vodafone shop?

If it is as bad as you say you should probably contact the phone manufacturer because apart from anything else they will probably give you some free stuff:D

Oh and this might be a bit obvious but dont go touching any of the stuff that came from inside the battery. Batteries contain some nasty chemicals

T'was probably one of those dodgy ringtones you see advertised on MTV every five minutes.

    Seriously, what phone was it?

A new ear or a new phone?

First, you need to get your sister to authorise you to be her agent, and that you get 60% of any and all potential payments. Then you take photos - lots of photos. Then you send the details to the tech websites, like gizmodo and engadget. Then you sit back and wait for the phone companys' legal teams to contact you. Don't settle for anything less than 10 dolla.
