Chinese restaurant delivered me ciggarettes

I didnt think they were gonna actually do it but they did. So anwhoo, last Tuesday, me and a mate thought we would order a Chinese but decided against it. However it was late, nothing open, and I needed ciggys..........so, for a laugh, more then anything else I rang up one of the the local Chinese restaurant's anyway......and they took my address then asked me what I would like to order - I said '20 John Player Blue' (I dont smoke them but seemed logical they would only sell the most popular) and the Chinese guy on the line said 'k' 'bye' or something like that.

So I assumed that he thought I was taking the piss out of them - but then about an hour later a ford focus (its always a small car) pulled into the drive way and, no mess, when I opened the door the guy (an unhappy looking big guy) handed me 20 John Player Blue, and left! I was relieved but thought something was a little strange about it. Anyway got a good laugh out of it and it was probrably funnier then all those times we ordered Chinese for our neighbours without them knowing. Bizarre.:pac:

Had to give him 1.50 tip aswell....but im not that stingy so I gave him 2 euro......never mind spare ribs - when I opened the door I thought he would do something to my ribs!

What? Cause I ordered ciggarettes? - I did not expect them to come all the way out to my house to deliver a packet of ciggarettes (well, maybe I thought there was a slight chance) - I was very happy with the service though!

Could it be? Have the Chinese figured out a cheap way to mass clone people. And they're using it in order to create profit for themselves? I knew capitalism would get them one day!

There was a hackney driver around here for a while that would taken an order off you for pretty much anything, booze, fags, food, shopping, go and collect it for you and deliver to your door! Pretty cool service if you were from around the town, charger a fiver for the privilege. Course he probably knew most of his customers so he wouldn't get stung for the lot, small towns an all that.

used to work in domino's and we'd get that off stoners all the time, looking for smokes, skins, chocolate, other crap to be delivered (when they actually ordered food too of course...)

was strange the first time it happened, and i felt a bit silly asking the driver who was doing the delivery, but he was all "yea yea no problem they always tip well when you do that"

I think if they're close to an offo most will do it if you're a regular and ask nicley.
