    hi there

This might be a bit vague but i'm looking at renting a villa this summer. Myself, my sister and our 2 boyfriends are trying to rent a villa (with 2 double rooms obviously) somewhere nice!!

I've stayed in Four Seasons Fairways in Portugal a couple of times and love it but it's just a bit expensive this time. Ideally we'd like somewhere with a pool, a beach nearby and some good restaurants nearby too. Not particullary pushed on big touristy areas. Not too pushed on which country we go to but it would be fantastic if we could fly there out of Shannon!

    Any suggestions!

I have stayed a few times in the Vila Sol region of Vilamoura, Portugal, very close to Faro (15 minute drive).

If you check the net, you will find numerous villas available around this area. Vilamoura has some amazing restaurants, and you ouldn't be charged the same amount of €€€ to rent a villa in or around Vilamoura as prices are in the Four Seasons.

Have you tried www.holiday-rentals.co.uk? loads of choices and lots of filters to narrow the choice down.

Myself and four others booked a villa about 70km from Alicante away from all the built up areas. Private pool with heating, BBQ, four bedrooms - two ensuite, a/c satelite tv, etc. all for 200euro each.

    Plenty of similiar places around.

Its the only way to go,we rented a Villa in Greece, twice in Portugal and will never go anyother way again. All the above Villa rentals are good and trustworthy.
My Favourite has to be Crete, but I think if you get a nice Villa and have good company you will have a ball.

You will most likley have to hire a car,as all the best Villas seem to be just that little bit outside resorts.
