What are peoples attitudes to helping someone online?

    1. Your friend is playing an online tourny and you are there in the background helping out with hands or on msn giving advice.

    2. Your friend calls you and says they were deep in a online MTT but their internet had disconnected and will you log in and finish the tourny for them? i.e. you play the rest of the event, not sit on the phone and just take orders from them.

Just looking peoples thoughts on these two examples of helping someone online.

    Cheers.

Do we really need another thread on this? Did you not notice the 450+ post thread on this very subject, as well as the poll thread started a couple of days ago about this?

    Really?

Giving the OP the benefit of the doubt that he did not see the threads would it not have been easier to link him to the original.

Can't say I remember seeing it either, not everyone reads every thread, he could have been away when the thread happened, there could be loads of explanations.

    rather curt reply imo

Well I'm sorry if you think so, but it is a bit of a coincidence to my mind that less than 1 hour after I lock the thread due to it going round in circles and achieving nothing useful, where the exact same issues as asked about were talked about to death.

Also, Monday morning isn't exactly a happy time in my existance, so I'm sorry if my curtness upset you. Come to think of it, Monday afternoons aren't great either.
