    Mathias, are you getting MA off the disk? I did the update last night. Using Ice Age 2, set to Master Audio. PS3 set to PCM. Only getting Multi Channel as before the update.

    With the PS3 set to PCM then the PS3 does the decoding and all your amp sees is multichannel , you are still getting the uncompressed audio , the PS3 is decoding instead of sending the bitstream , it cant send the bitstream.

    There are conflicting reports all over the net about the PS3's ability to send bitsteam , some say the hardware HDMI chip on the PS3 cant do it , others say it can but is not enabled yet.

    Either way , the bitstream has to be decoded somewhere , either in the player or the receiver , at the moment the PS3 does it , so the indicator on your amp will show multichannel.
