Second Job to pay debts?

I currently have a full-time job in administration with a pretty good company - nice conditions, good wages but I'm a total spendaholic and I owe some money on credit cards (nothing too serious).

I'm thinking of taking on some form of second job - just to use this money to clear the debt.

I'm know the usual jobs are bars, babysitting one night a week etc but is there anything anyone knows of that's more lucrative and doesn't take up too much time. Like being a rep for supermarket products or something?

    Any suggestions appreciated.

The problem with those well paid weird jobs is that they have a tendency to be very irregular, e.g. one Saturday per month.

If I were you I'd take a comfortable call centre job. You know, Eircom tech support a few nights a week and a Sunday.

Well done for trying to tackle your debt before it gets out of hand.

Things like mystery shopping can add a few quid during lunch hours/weekends. You'll often find out-of-hours answering services, gp telephonists etc pay a bit more than retail or call centre stuff. I used to work Cash Office in a department store on weekends while holding down my 9-5 during the week; the money wasn't great but it was easy to sit on my bum all day counting someone else's money :D

How much is your tax now, and will getting another job bring you into another tax bracket?

Also, try nixers in a local building site, etc, such as carrying bricks, etc.
