Can anyone advise as to which airport is best, Reus or Girona?

I've flown to Reus myself before and the bus ride to Barcelona was only 1 hour on the motorway and not that bad at all.

Is Girona much the same distance? The flights are €60 cheaper.

Girona is slightly closer. Still takes 1+ hours to get to either of them. Do you mean €60 cheaper to Girona than to Reus, or €60 cheaper to either of them than to Barcelona?

Tbh, it's a pain in the hole going to either of them and I much prefer to fly Aer Lingus to El Prat airport. You could try Clickair aswell if you're thinking about going during the summer. They should have the route back on by then, hopefully!:(

Thanks. ClickAir have actually suspended that route and are not flying the route again until July I think. Iberia have no flights on the dates required.

Ryanair is €120 return to Girona and €180 return to Reus. Aer Lingus is €240 to Barcelona city.

I believe Ryanair have buses to Barcelona city from Girona Airport which are timed based on their flight schedule which is handy!

Yeah, I'd definitely go for Girona then.

Bus service is usually decent and providing you don't hit traffic, you should be there in about 1 hour 20 mins. Drops you off beside Arc de Triomf which is fairly central. Have a look here for more info: http://www.barcelona-tourist-guide.com/en/gerona/girona-airport-barcelona.html#barcelonabus

much in a muchness to be honest, i prefer reus because it is next to salou but if you have already been and its €60 cheaper from girona then its not really an option, girona it is :)

ryanair don't operate the buses but they do correspond with ryanair flights, they leave from the bus station next to the Arc de Triomf and the journey takes just over an hour, cost is €12 one-way €21 return

bus, cheaper and it picks you up outside arrivals unlike the train that is located quite a few miles away in town

Get the bus to Estació del Nord and then take the metro (red line) from Arc de Triomf to Plaza Espanya, changing to the green line at Plaza Espanya which will bring you to Sants.
