COD4 online - Downloading Game Settings problem

    anyone having a problem with COD4 today? I've logged in to the PSN, loadded up the game, gone to 'Play Online' and it brings up my rank correctly, then when I go to Find Game, it sticks at "Downloading Game Settings" and stays there. I don't even get the menu for Free-for-all, Deathmatch etc.

    Anyone having this issue today, know how to fix it?

    No issues with this today, or at least not since I played it last at around 5pm.

    Had a few problems connecting to servers/hosts though.

    I did originally have this problem when I first got the game, turned out to be the router not being set up right but if it's been working until today and has suddenly stopped on you, haven't a clue tbh. Maybe there's an update to download?

    No joy I'm afraid. From 4PM until 10PM last night I couldn't get past this. I've only ever had this problem once before and a simple re-boot fixed it. Not this time. My internet connection was working fine and I could browse the internet using the PS3 fine...EXCEPT I couldn't connect to the default PS3 homepage.

    I'll try again this evening.

    Hmmm, perhaps, although, that maintainance is only due to start at 4PM today (8AM PST). Unless there was some prep work yesterday, although if everyone else could play then it may have been a local issue with me...must check on AVforums.

    I couldn't even log on to the PSN from about 2pm today. Dunno if it's related though.
