    hi, anybody ideas where to get info re aboe.I know they need to have DSMIV OR ICD10 but where is the criteria to say what needs to be said inorder to access a place in a unit within a school.

    Has your child been assessed? Your child would normally be referred by the specialist/pyschologist who assessed the child.

    hi, I understand , its not for my child.I want to see where is the ciculer that states what a report must say inorder to offer a child a place in a unit.
    If you know what I mean?

    Fraid dont know that one.....Best thing would be to ring one of the schools that have a unit, theyd have all the info.

    ok, Its ICD 10 or DSM IV but the team/psychologist must state which is best.This often depends on the IQ of the child, Mild learning difficultys etc.
    Ahh had to spend a day with my nose in a book to learn all that.
    Recommendations of a psychologist...
