    Thanks in advance!

Good film, but it's been a while since I've seen it. I'd definitely like to give it another look now.

Yeah I thought it was one of the most interesting films I've ever seen, up there with Donny Darko and that ilk, it really makes you think!

Watched it recently enough and thought it was an interesting little film. Very surreal, laden with black humour. Refreshing to see what is an essence a genre film played out with considerable flair.

Not that up on my Jim Jarmusch overall though. Have only seen Broken Flowers as well, which I thought was dull, pretentious and over-rated. But Ghost Dog intrigued me considerably, so may try and track down his other stuff.

Really liked this when I saw it a few years ago, not sure how it has aged, but will give a go again soon...

Would definitely recommend his earlier films, 'A night on earth' in particular, full of odd stories and characters, is a lot of fun. None of his films (that I've seen) have been fully satisfying but have a lot of charm and character, which made them enjoyable to watch none the less.

i saw this when it first came out...i was only 14 at the time and I think its low key style didnt appeal to my teenage action driven hormones, but bits of it did stick fondly...should give it another chance.

    I didn't think much of broken flowers at all;
but if you like ghost dog then I would suggest you watch Dead man.

Two wonderful crazy bleak glorious films.

    He rocks!
And I particualrly love the mob guys, the guy who loves Public Enemy, The guy in charge and the old guy.
Such hilarious and well thought out characters!
The way they have their base in the back of a chiese takeaway was great too.
Some funny moments, as well as (what I saw to be) a theme of rebirth, or cyclical growth even.
    examples=
Mob bosses daughter. He watches old cartoons, disney ones like betty boop and whatnot, whereas she watches Itchy and Scratchy.
Also she took over from him but that was to be expected.
The little girl (I've forgotten all the names :p). She takes the book from Ghost dog and (the impression I got was) Becomes a hitman or a gost dog-esque character.

I love the general fell of the movie, a serious film hidden under a thin veneer of humor.
    :D

It's great how the ice-cream guy speaks no English and Ghost Dog no French but they are on the same wavelength, usually repeating each other without knowing it.

It was a nice change to the usual mob type film.

RZA produced an excellent soundtrack for it too.

I think that (apart from Roberto Begnini) Forrest Whitaker is the most unwatchable actor to win "Best Actor" oscar in 20 years. I think he's crap in pretty much everything and his googly eye doesn't help matters either.

Anyway, I found this film really uninspiring and had to turn it off after about 10 minutes (and I usually will stick with anything I've started just to say "I saw it").

Wow! He's a fantastic actor. Have you seen The Last King of Scotland? Definitely worthy of the Oscar for his role in that.

He did lose a few points from me for his turn in Battlefield Earth, however.
