just read this announcement on the Betfair Forum:

"Betfair Customer Services 12 Apr 18:11

We would like to inform our customers that the owners of Winker Watson have contacted us to report that the horse has experienced some stiffness today.

We will post a further update as and when one is available.

The 2,000 Guineas ante-post market will remain open, but customers are reminded that all unmatched bets can obviously be cancelled at any stage. "

Makes a refreshing change from the usual bull:

"I was asleep" - Jim Bolger

"We noticed a problem this morning" (despite the fact the horse was being laid at big prices from early yesterady evening) - Ferdy Murphy (nine de sivola in this year's 4miler) & Adrian Maguire (Celestial Wave in last years stayers)

I wonder however, if it's something to do with Bert Black having a share in the horse (Bert Black being the founder of Betfair).

If the horse had of been layed to a big amount and drifted, would the conspiracy theorists be spouting their stuff again since the betfair founder is involved?

I can see where you're coming from on this one but connections of sublimity also contacted betfair to say their horse was unlikely to run in Januray's AIG hurdle which he was prominent in the betting.

MY point is the punter deserves respect and not to be treated like a gulible fool like some trainers/owners treat them like.
