    because I'm worth it.

I have a notion to take a day trip out of Dublin the weekend after next. In fact, next weekend I have to go to Sligo for reasons outside my control but this is life.

For the following weekend, however, I am angling for a trip to the Giant's Causeway and that bridge whose name I keep forgetting. Other options in Antrim are possible when I have read the Ireland guidebook in a little more detail. The plan is out Sat morning back Sat evening. I am too busy to make a whole weekend of it.

Is anyone else interested? I realise that it is short notice but I haven't been at the Giant's Causeway since I was little and it features in a book of fantasy tricks for Photoshop that I wouldn't mind giving a shot out. A trip home via Ikea *might* be entertained. But the Mourne Mountains might be more attractive depending on the weather.

the carrick-a-rede rope bridge is dismantled for the winter; worth checking out if it's open again. also, walk down a few hundred yards west of the car park, and you'll find yourself down on the shore, at the foot of chalk cliffs.

there's a lovely beach about five miles west of the causeway, at portballintrae.

i'm sure amcinroy will have a load more tips.
