O2 from Vodafone?

I am thinking of switching back to O2 from Vodafone (I switched to get a new mobile a few year ago) as none of my mates are on Vodafone so free calls and texts mean nothing to me now. Also I mostly text and make few phone call. Im not sure which price plan I am on. I never signed up for anything so which one would I be on?…

Im not sure which price plan I am on. I never signed up for anything so which one would I be on?

My phone is unlocked already as I got it from the UK.

I want to keep my number, so how long will I be waiting to get a new SIM, can I just walk into an O2 shop and they can do it there and then for me?

Do I have to top up with credit 1st before I can sign up for the free text messages?

Is the sim card free?

What is the hole 2 working day to be signed up for the free texts?

Am I mad doing this?
