Gel Nails

Hello, I recently bought a kit yo make gel nails at home. And now I dont understand what is wrong: When I apply the gel and cure in uv lamp and take out the gel is not hard at all and I can easily wipe it off!!! Can somebody explain this? Does anybody know anything? Thank you.

I get the impression these are hard to do and you really need to go on a course to do it properly.
