Setup wireless link Netopia 2247-02 --> (wireless) --> Linksys WRT54G

    Here is my situation:

I've got an Eircom BB connection through a Netopia 2247-02 modem downstairs. I'd like to use my main PC + voip phone through zyxel P2000 in the attic. Ideally I'd like to avoid having to run a cable over the stairs.

I've got a spare Linksys WRT54G, I'd like to use to create the wireless bridge (my networking terms are a bit rusty, but I beleive that's what its called) so I can plug in my cabled networked stuff into the Linksys upstairs and use the internet connection.

Having done some research Bluebox (http://linksysco.com/box.php) may be able to provide what I'm looking for. Anyone experience with this? Any other suggestions to make this work are appreciated!

yeah, that's wireless reapter or bridge is both OK. And lucky to u, the Linksys WRT54G can implement that function if its firmware version is suitable!

If the WRT54G router's wireless bridge function is not stabile enough, I suggest u use the NEC WL5400AP. Hey, u know , that is very classic one, omnipotent AP.Haha

Unfortunately I found that my router version (v7) is too modern and has the wrong chip set :(

Looked for the NEC online, but couldn't find any available, looks like I'm going to use a cable after all, since I don't really feel like spending another €60 - €70 euro's.
