Internet interfering with TV?

I have 2mb internet with NTL/UPC in south Dublin.

Every time i access a web page or download a file the screen flickers. It will flicker continuously if I download a large file.

This only occured after I reattached the splitter out side the house which feeds the tv to both rooms. Do I need a signal booster?

I'm no expert, perhaps you used a dodgy splitter or damaged the existing one?

If your tv and bb are on the the one drop then split you may need a reverse path filter or failing that a 6/1 split.

Perhaps call UPC, tell them you are having an issue with your broadband interfering with your TV? Most of the engineers are pretty sound, they could probably sort it out no bother.
