    HI,

Does anyone know if the PS3 is dual voltage i.e will work on 110/220v ?

I have to go to America for 6wks and was wondering will it work over there ?
I believe the Ps2 slim was dual voltage - Has this trend continued with the PS3 ?

    Thanks

I'm pretty sure it is. As far as I can remember they have to put the source input setting on the PS3. So it should read something like input 100-240V 50/60 Hz. I'll check mine when I get home to check. The only problem that you'd have in the US is if the TV cant support 50hz then you wont be able to see any picture over there. Most TV's bought in the last couple of years should have 100Hz and as a result can display both.

If you connect it to HDTV in the US, it should work fine as HD resolutions are generally free of 50,60Hz issues that we have in PAL land.
If its going to be connected to SDTV, more than likely it won't work as the % of SDTV that support PAL resolutions is low.

    i have had a look at both my PS3's ( 60 gig and 40 gig ) and they both say 220 v - 240 v ac , so i doubt it will work on 110 v .
