I bought an item on eBay from the UK, the item never arrived

The seller refunded me no problem yesterday as he knew I never recieved item.

Question is, how long should it take for the refund to go through? He refunded me yesterday, and the status is still "Pending". Paypal gave an automated reply sayin that funds have to clear (or something similar)

Thanks in advance for any help

If he refunded you, then it should be immediate. If he has no money in his account though, there could be a delay, but I would have thought he wouldn't be able to issue it without having the funds in his account.

Are you sure the mail you received was an actual Paypal mail, and not a fake one?

Your seller can refund you by echeque - this can take up to "10-14" days to clear as the funds must first be transferred from his bank account to PayPals bank accounts. Not 100% sure on the whole transferring process but the official line is 10-14 days.

If it shows as pending then it means it has already been refunded but you wont see the funds until it has cleared.

yeah it was a genuine refund - i logged into my own paypal account and saw it in the overview

As it turns out the item arrived so happy days. I told him if he can cancel the refund then do it, if not let the refund go through and i'll re-send it

It's nice to see some honest ebayer still out there.
